Camping, ‘Glamping’ & Posh Accommodation

 

The Goodwood Estate is blessed with hidden glades, hollows, copses and hillocks with views to the beaches and across the South Downs. (Traveller's Guide to the South Downs - The Independent UK 20th March 2010)| We are currently surveying the lie of the land, seeking out the perfect spots to pitch a tent.

 The estate is on chalk down land which drains a treat, so it would take storms of biblical proportions for the campsites to become seas of mud like so many other festival events.

General Camping is available at £15 per person for the weekend, so come along and pitch up your tent!

Those of you lucky enough to have some decent disposable income (or lucky enough to avail yourself of a corporate sponsorship package), there will be some proper posh camping (think of those glamorous set-ups in the Serengeti (except you are unlikely to see any Elephants or Zebras on the South Downs), complete with chefs cooking you breakfast with organic produce from The Goodwood Estate.

If you want to combine the luxury of great facilities and sumptuous sleeping arrangements, book out your ‘room’ at our HOTEL BELL TENT for the weekend.

Nestled amongst the beautiful beech and larch trees you will find some gorgeous pockets of woodland glamping , including...

  1. Luxurious tipis and a sprinkling of little yurts in the INDIAN RESERVATION, sitting between the festoon-lit trees and round our (very safe) campfires.
  2. Step into the future of camping and enter the world of GEO DOMES… Giving you, your own private bubble of space within the sanctuary of the woodland.
  3. After a long day’s frolics of singing, dancing and shopping how blissful to head back to your very own GYPSY CARAVAN.

Then there’s the PODPADS- Windows, walls, doors and a roof... this can’t be camping? Not forgetting the BELLEPADS – A pre-erected and fully kitted out (groundsheet, floor-covering and 4 inflated airbeds) Bell Tent.
